Terms and conditions

Last updated: 8 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy access to a book on EduVerse. They are written to be read: if anything is unclear, email us at info@softniverse.com.

1. Who we are

EduVerse is a service of Softniverse. Our company details are listed at the top of this page. You can reach us at info@softniverse.com.

2. When these terms apply

These terms apply to every order on EduVerse and to the use of the products you buy. The free preview you may simply read.

If you buy as a business, these terms apply too, but the rules the law gives only to consumers (such as the right of withdrawal) do not apply to you.

3. What you buy

You buy personal online access to a book: the complete text in the online reader, the interactive slides, the demos and your saved progress. The product page and the order overview describe exactly what is included.

Books marked “Coming soon” cannot be ordered yet.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in euros and include VAT. The amount on the order overview is the amount you pay; there are no extra costs.

You pay through Stripe, by card or iDEAL | Wero. We never see or store your card details.

A discount code works only while it is valid. Discounts cannot be combined: you always get the single largest one.

If a price is obviously wrong, for example because of a typing error, we are not bound by it. We will let you know, and you can cancel the order.

5. Your order

The agreement is made as soon as your payment is confirmed. You receive a confirmation by email with your order details.

If you do not have an account yet, we create one for the email address you entered and send you a temporary password. It works once and for 24 hours; after the first sign-in you choose your own password.

6. Access

You get access as soon as your payment is confirmed, usually within a minute. You read in your browser; nothing is downloaded or sent by post.

You keep access for as long as EduVerse offers the product. If we ever stop offering a product, we will let you know by email well in advance.

We do our best to keep EduVerse available at all times, but we cannot guarantee that it never fails. We may take the service offline briefly for maintenance.

7. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that is not delivered on a physical medium, the law lets this right end as soon as delivery starts, provided you agree to that beforehand.

That is why the order overview asks you to confirm that you want access straight away and that you give up your right of withdrawal once access starts. Without that confirmation the order cannot be placed. We confirm your choice in the order confirmation email.

Did you not get access, or does the book not work as promised? Then section 9 applies.

8. What you may do with the content

Your access is personal. You may read the book and use the slides and demos for your own learning. You may not:

  • share your account or password with others;
  • copy, publish, sell or otherwise distribute the content, in whole or in part;
  • download the content automatically, for example with scripts or scrapers;
  • use the content to train software or AI models.

The texts, illustrations and demos are protected by copyright. The rights belong to the author A.M. Lorion, the publisher and EduVerse. Short quotes with a source are allowed within the limits of the law.

If you break these rules, we may block your access. We will tell you why first, unless that is not reasonable.

9. Something wrong? Complaints and refunds

If the content does not work as promised, you have the rights the law gives you: we fix it, and if that does not work, you can get a full or partial refund.

Send your complaint to info@softniverse.com with your order number. We reply within 14 days. If we need more time, we tell you within those 14 days when you can expect an answer.

If a payment is refunded in full, access to that product ends. Your saved progress stays, so you can continue if you buy it again. While a card dispute (chargeback) is open, access may be paused.

10. Liability

EduVerse explains how software is built. It is learning material, not personal advice. We do our best to make it correct, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete or free of errors.

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. This limit does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence, and it never limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

11. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is described in our privacy statement.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applied when you placed your order applies to that order. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed.

13. Applicable law

Dutch law applies. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection that the mandatory consumer law of your country gives you.

If we cannot solve a dispute together, it can be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, or before the court where you live if the law gives you that right.
